São Tomé e Príncipe commits to implement FiTI
BERLIN – 12-13 December 2018. At the occasion of the 5th meeting of the FiTI International Board, a representative from São Tomé e Príncipe, Mr. José Cardoso, was invited by the Board to join the discussions as a guest.
During the meeting, Mr. José Cardoso presented to the Board a letter of commitment to the FiTI addressed by the Minister of Finance, Trade and Blue Economy of São Tomé e Príncipe, H.E. Américo d’Oliveira dos Ramos to the FiTI Chair.
In this letter, the Minister conveyed the official commitment of its Government to implement the FiTI, with the objective to submit a Candidate Application to the FiTI in 2019.
São Tomé joins Guinea, Indonesia, Nigeria, Senegal and the Seychelles, which are currently engaged in the FiTI sign-up step process.
